The first COHAT is recommended by 1 year of age for cats and small dogs (less than 25 lbs) and by 2 years of age for larger dogs by the American Animal Hospital Association of America. Regular COHATs and at-home care (see below) are the best way to keep a pet’s mouth healthy.
